    <abstract type="Summary">This is a decorative and detailed map of Persia by Willem Janszoon Blaeu, The map was published in Amsterdam and is dated 1635. The map Persia extending from the Eastern Mediterranean to Tacalistan and the Indus River with the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf in the South and Caspian and Tartaria in the North. The focus on the map is on Persia, but includes areas of present day Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Hundreds of towns and cities are noted as well as rivers, lakes, and mountain ranges. A decorative title cartouche shows three Persian gentlemen, two of which hold a spear and sword also a sailing ship roams the Arabian Sea.</abstract>
