    <abstract type="Summary">The image shows the Shoshenq I Inscription on the fall of Jerusalem from the temple of Karnak in Luxor, Egypt and recounts the Middle Eastern city-states that were conquered by the Pharaoh. The Louvre Museum was one of the first institutions to use cameras to document archaeological findings. Devéria worked for the Louvre and traveled to Egypt several times to photograph the French archaeological missions. </abstract>
