<note>This a very handsome, large folding map of the world on Mercators (flat) projection that has been dissected into 40 linen-backed sheets with burgundy marbled paper backs. There are two insets of the two hemispheric polar regions. The worlds oceanic trade winds, monsoonal activities, submarine telegraph cable routes and mail packet routes are all shown and listed in great detail. Complete with original slipcase (worn), covered in burgundy morocco with gold lettering. All British territorial possessions are depicted in pink.</note>
