    <abstract type="Summary">The image shows a British frigate at anchor in the Port of Muscat, in Oman. The view was taken by Lieutenant R. Temple between 1809 and 1810 when the British army was conducting naval operations against Jawasmi pirate.The print is part of a volume of plates, etching and aquatints, coloured by hand and entitled &apos;Sixteen Views of Places In The Persian Gulph, Taken In The Years 1809-10&apos;. The collection by Richard Temple and etched by John Clark was published in London in 1813.</abstract>
