Travel accounts to Mecca and records of the Hajj can be found in Chinese texts since at least the Fifteenth century., Title and date Library staff. The image is ruled in black and light-blue. Under the image there is a part of verse 97 from surah al-'Imran و لله على للناس حج البيت من استطاع اليه سبيلا ("And [due] to Allah upon mankind is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to find a way" stresses the importance of the Hajj, and to the right the seal reads'). Chinese seals and impressions both on thr front and on the verso of the print. The right the seal reads 'Shi Jiazhen'.
