Fifty of the hundred plates are dedicated to horses, including many of Arabian stock, such as Hamdani Semri, Jussuf, etc. Includes an autograph letter signed by the publisher to the Agricultural College of Berlin (Budapest, 10 Sept. 1899, 1 p. 4to), requesting the return of a specimen publication and soliciting a firm order (which apparently did follow). In perfect condition; only the cardbox box housing the volume shows signs of wear. Very rare. Date of publication at head of title. At head of title: 1896-Iki ezredéves állatkiállitások emléke. T.p. within red frame. Each leaf of illustration is preceded by a leaf of descriptive text in each of the four languages.
