This rare treatise is "one of the earliest [works] printed in Germany on the Arabic system" (De Morgan). According to David Eugene Smith, in the addenda to his Rara Arithmetica, this is a verbatim reprint of the first edition of Huswirt's Enchiridion of 1501. The book "is divided into four tractati, and includes the fundamental operations through evolution, a brief treatment of abacus or line reckoning, common fractions, rule of three, partnership, and over twenty miscellaneous rules.
