Signatures: aall⁸mm¹⁰ Third edition of Isagoge, and first with the commentary of Johannes de Saxonia, probably based on the Latin translation by Joannes Hispalensis. Roman and Gothic types, 97 leaves unfoliated in manuscript stating at f. 142, paragraph marks supplied in red, woodcut illustrations (lacking initial blank, light dampstaining, some margins slightly wormed). Contemporary German binding, brown sheep cover wooden boards, the sides divided by triple diagonal fillets into lozenge compartments, in each a stamp of a rosette or flower, hatched roll tool border of lozenges containing fleurs-de-lys, brass corner and centre bosses, pastedowns of strips from 14th -15th century ma uscripts (one corner boss replaced from another early binding, new clasps, another work removed, covers wormed) Caption title. Dhari ibn Tawala was the chief of the Aslam Shammar, a group that also nowadays counts most of his members between Arabia and Iraq. He met John Philby in November 2017, in Zubayr, where the leading tribes leaders had been invited to discuss their involvement in the Arab Revolt. "Dhari was the pivot of the whole arrangement, the link between the desert and the sown [...]" (Philby, John, Heart of Arabia, London, Constable, 1922, p. 238).
