Show morePoster advertising one of the most popular attractions of the Exhibition of 1900 in Paris, called the "Andalousie au temps des Maures", a 5000-square-meter historical theme park in the Trocadero Gardens. The poster depicts a battle scene between a Moorish and a Christian knight. The exhibition "Andalusia in the time of the Moors" referred to the medieval heyday of Moorish Spain and to romances during the reconquest of Andalusia by Christian monarchs. Title and date from item.
