Item. The photograph shows the Tile Kiosk, a pavilion located in the outer parts of Topkapı Palace and dating from 1472. It currently houses the Islamic ceramics collection of the Istanbul Archaeology Museums, but between 1875 and 1891, when the photograph was taken, it was used as the Imperial Museum.
