This is the original French edition of this important hadith collection, reprinted in 1977: a fundamental work on the words and deeds of the Prophet as reported by his disciples, explaining obscure points of the Quran and serving as a guide for every Muslim in his daily life. "Al-Jami' as-Sahih" ("collection of authentic traditions"), as it is known, contains a corpus of more than 7,000 tested traditions, arranged in chapters so as to offer a basis for a complete system of jurisprudence without the use of speculative law.
