    <abstract type="Summary">Poster advertising the release of the complete Dutch edition of the book &quot;The White Prophet&quot; by British novelist Thomas Henry Hall Caine (1853 -1931) published in 1913 by L. J. Veen in Amsterdam. Caine wrote the novel after three research visits to Egypt between 1907 and 1909.  The book criticized the British occupation of Egypt and expressed solidarity for Egyptian independence. The poster depicts a man in Bedouin dress sitting on the back of a camel, looking at some military ships on the horizon.</abstract>
