Vintage travel issued for the French railway company "Chemins de fer de Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée" and by the shipping company "Compagnie Générale Transatlantique" advertising Gabès as a tourist destination for the winter. The poster also refers to the automobile itineraries proposed by the French maritime and railways companies as part of their effort to expand their offer for the increasing tourist demand. The poster depicts some local people under the arches of the city and the oasis of Gabès in a medallion. No Known Copyright Title and date from item. The poster is signed, dated, and inscribed "Cornille & Serre Imprimeurs, 19 R. du Terrage, PARIS" and "Auto-Circuits Nord-Africains de la C.[ompagn]ie G.[énér]ale Transatlantique" (North Africa by Automobile Tours by the General Transatlantic Company).
