<note>Impressive show of Hungarian breeding skills at the fin-de-siècle, documented in a century of high-quality photoengravings. Fifty of the hundred plates are dedicated to horses, including many of Arabian stock, such as Hamdani Semri, Jussuf, etc. Includes an autograph letter signed by the publisher to the Agricultural College of Berlin (Budapest, 10 Sept. 1899, 1 p. 4to), requesting the return of a specimen publication and soliciting a firm order (which apparently did follow). In perfect condition; only the cardbox box housing the volume shows signs of wear. Very rare.</note>
