Photographs taken with the Kodak N. 1 camera, one of the first portable photographic tools, by the French photographer Paul Nadar who, between August and November 1890, embarked on a trip across Europe and Asia to Turkestan following the ancient silk route. He acted as an early photojournalist, documenting his travels and photographing sites as diverse as bazaars, mosques, and desert landscapes. The collection comprises 2 photographs, one seen from afar, and one closer.
