    <abstract type="Summary">Sketchbook mainly depicting Egypt,  showing fortifications and mosques (including Bulaq), the harbour of Alexandria, an antique funerary oil lamp, local flora such as palm trees. Also, three loosely inserted watercolours show bedouins in the desert, one on camelback. The rest include French rural scenes and the Château de Luynes.</abstract>
