The photograph shows the Bab Al-Khalq building that hosted the Egyptian National Library and Archives from 1904 until 1971, together with the Dar Al-Athar Al-Arabiya; at the time of Sultan Hussein Kamel (d. 1917), this library was known as Sultanieh Library.
