The items are drawn from the collection of Snouck Hugronje. Title and date from item. Plate 40 in Bilder-Atlas zu Mekka (Haag : Martinus Nijhoff, 1888-1889). The plate is numbered (XL). Trap exc.’ (Pieter Willem Marinus Trap excudit, Pieter Willem Marinus Trap engraved). The objects are itemized in the list of plates at the beginning of the volume. A note mentions that more information on those objects can be found in the essay by Snouck Hurgronje titled "Ethnographisches aus Mekka", which was published in "Internationales Archiv für Ethnographie" (Vol. I, Leiden, 1888).
