Title from item, date devised by LIbrary staff. In 19th-century half brown morocco, brown cloth-covered boards; spine lettered 'Sketches in Spain.' and 'Roberts.' The 'Table of Contents' on the verso of the engraved dedication calls for XXVI pl. - including engraved title page. Most plates are unsigned. A few are signed in the plate by David Roberts, or as lithographically printed by Day & Son. The engraved dedication carries on its verso a list of the plates, in which the lithographers were named as T.S. Boys, W. Gauci, T. Allom, T.S. Cooper, L. Haghe and D. Roberts. The work is dedicated by David Roberts to the Marquis of Lansdowne.
