From Syria he returned to Rome via Malta. He published an account, ''Peregrinus In Jerusalem''. Plate from the book "Peregrinus in Jerusalem" by Angelicus Maria Myller. This photograph was likely taken in 1881 by the Egyptian photographer, army engineer and surveyor Muhammad S̱adiq Bey (1832-1902). Title and date from item.
