Show moreTravel poster by Guy Georget advertising Air France flights to the Near and Middle. The painting depicts an Arab character and some stylized details recalling the exotic imaginary related to the Arabian Peninsula and the Arab world, namely a minaret, a dome, a dallah (the traditional Arab coffee pot) and an oil tower. The white outline around the image makes it appear almost like a collage. Guy Georget worked extensively with tourism boards to produce posters promoting travel and tourism. His first commercial posters appear in the late 1940s and from the 1960s he worked for Air France, prestigious employment for graphic artists of the time.
