Snapshots cover a variety of places and subjects such as excavations in Mari (modern Tell Hariri), aerial photographs of Aleppo, views of antiquities and Islamic architectures and of a chemical-industrial site. A large number of people from local tribes, mainly living in the eastern Syria Iraq bordering province of Deir Ez-Zor but also from other parts of the country and possibly also in Turkey. Many snapshots of family members portrayed at home, posing with local people, travelling or wearing traditional clothes. Title and date devised by Library staff.
