Sketchbook mainly depicting Egypt, showing fortifications and mosques (including Bulaq), the harbour of Alexandria, an antique funerary oil lamp, local flora such as palm trees. Also, three loosely inserted watercolours show bedouins in the desert, one on camelback. The rest include French rural scenes and the Château de Luynes., Title and date devised by library staff. Pencil drawings, some with gray and colour washes, and three oriental-themed watercolours laid in. Green half calf album with pencil sheath.
